La Vetreria Almar

Okay.

I paid after the owner confirmed through Booking.com that I could check into the room I chose on my own, at any time. Only after payment did she say check-in had to be by 8:30 PM. She promised at least a partial refund, but more than a year has passed and I still haven't received anything. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The kitchenette might be useful, if you're willing to risk using the plates and glasses. Otherwise, avoid this place. The room had a dirty mirror, dusty floor, and drawers with dust and damp towels, dishcloths, and other things tossed inside. Blankets were left carelessly in the closet, and the ones on the bed were stained, torn, and had someone else's hair on them. There was even a clump of hair caught in the bidet plug. Basic comforts were missing too. The soap dispenser was empty, it was awkward to reach a towel from the shower, and the bathroom window was too high to open. The shutters were broken and rattled in the wind. The air conditioning worked on and off, and even when it did, it took ages to warm the room. The overall cleanliness was so poor that dust seemed to hang in the air and dirt built up under my slippers. The single star is for having a bed, bathroom, and roof overhead. Hospitality didn't feel like a priority: every little thing made it seem as though guests had done something wrong just by being there.

The mini-apartment had little comfort, including a broken TV, and hygiene was extremely poor, with dust and ants everywhere. With two asthmatic children, that was especially concerning. At check-in, the lady arrived two hours late and didn't even apologize before showing us in.
