Le Muse Catanesi

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and its location in the heart of Catania put us close to all the main attractions. Great customer service too. Our son especially loved the swing, which was the cherry on top. Highly recommended!

The city-center location was fantastic, and that was the one thing we really liked. But the apartment was very dirty. We had to wash all the kitchen dishes ourselves before using them, and the dishwasher didn't work. The showers hadn't been cleaned, and the towels smelled musty. I wouldn't recommend staying there if you want to feel comfortable and at home. Edit: The apartment owner reported my review to Google as fake, but that isn't true. I only wanted to point out that, despite the cleanliness issues, the location in the city center was fantastic.

We felt at home from the first moment, and the host was just amazing. This is the best flat you could ask for in the heart of Catania. Highly recommended!

The house is in an excellent location, nicely furnished, and has convenient parking. That's what earned the star. We booked a place for five at an affordable price during the last week of July, and Emanuela gave clear instructions for self check-in. But right after arriving we found towels that smelled of mold, belongings and garbage left by previous guests, superficial cleaning, dirty cutlery, and a shower clogged with hair and covered in limescale. We sent photos and asked for it to be cleaned. The reply about the limescale was, “You can do what you can with limescale.” The cleaning-product drawer was full, but many items were empty. The refrigerator was old and malfunctioning, and the sofa had a stain from an unidentified white liquid. Over the first two days, we had to buy products to wash the towels and unclog the shower.
