The apartment has an equipped kitchen and a friendly, helpful host, and it's good value for the money. It's not perfect, but the spectacular view from the top floor more than makes up for that. As with other places in the area, expect some noise. I'd definitely stay here again if I return to Catania.

We stayed for two weeks from late September into early October, nine of us across two floors. The rooms were fine and spacious, and the view of Catania's rooftops and Etna from the fourth floor was really lovely. We could cook simple meals in the small kitchen. The location is very good, and the price for the quality was fine for a hotel in Catania. The owner wasn't there in person, but communication was perfect: he always replied on WhatsApp and we got everything we asked for. There are quite a few stairs up to the rooms, so it's not suitable if you have mobility problems. Weekends were the main downside. From Friday to Sunday it was noisy, and even with all the windows closed it was still loud. We enjoyed our stay and would book this hotel again if we travel to Catania.

The location is fantastic, right in Catania's entertainment centre, and the bus stop for the airport is a five-minute walk away. Michael was quick to sort out any issues, and our room was cleaned every day. It's very clean, though it definitely needs renovating. Some rooms didn't have a refrigerator.

The staff communicated well, arranged a nice airport shuttle for €25, and kindly upgraded me to a larger room for free. From the balcony there's a great view of Mount Etna, and the location is fairly central. The bathroom was clean but small, and the bed squeaked a lot and wasn't comfortable. The building is covered in graffiti and looks almost abandoned, which put me off. It's next to a train line and surrounded by bars and restaurants, so there was plenty of noise for most of the night. It felt more like a grungy hostel without the social side. Not my vibe, but it could work as a private room on a low budget.
