We spent five weeks in apartment 204, a bright, airy and very comfortable place. Every apartment has its own character. Ours had a full kitchen with utensils, stovetop and oven, plus a washing machine. There are balconies in the rooms, and the third floor has one apartment with a large outdoor terrace. Lovely for a drink or some time in the Mediterranean sun. There's an elevator too. Bistro Politi Bar downstairs by the entrance made things especially easy. Breakfast comes in hot and cold options, including cappuccino, cafe latte, fresh squeezed Sicilian blood oranges, omelettes, pancakes, cheese and deli meats. You can smell the croissants baking in the morning. They also serve lunch and dinner, with happy hour drinks like wine, beer, spirits and spritzes, plus appetizers, pizzas and hot grilled sandwiches. Very reasonably priced, and a nice option after a long day out seeing the sights. The staff were delightful, always available and accommodating. They speak English, French, Spanish and Italian, and helped with tourist questions about attractions, transport and car rentals. Bike rentals are available on the premises. There's also a large Catania sightseeing map at the entrance. It's a short walk to Piazza Duomo and the main cathedral, Via Etnea, the pedestrian shopping street, and Piazza Borsellino, the bus hub. A great base for a short or long visit to Catania, whether for history or shopping. We'll certainly return. Thanks to Nicola and the Politi Team for making our stay so comfortable and memorable!
