B&B I Portici

I asked for a double room, and the owner said one would be available. Instead, I got two separate single beds, which was very uncomfortable. The owner was completely absent, too. She never came by or even contacted me during the stay. The room was reasonably clean, but the bathroom wasn't acceptable. The toilet seat was dirty and broken, which showed a lack of care with hygiene and upkeep. Breakfast was very sparse, just toast, jam, supermarket croissants in packets, and coffee or tea. That's not what I expect from a B&B. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone wanting decent accommodation and professional management. The photos could be defamatory, so it's better not to publish them!

I called late Monday afternoon to ask if a room was available, but nobody answered. Later a woman called me back, and I assume she was the owner. She said, "I hope so." I gave her my dates, and she said there might be rooms at two different properties, one night at I Portici and another at a villa, I think. So far, that was fine. I said I didn't mind, and she told me she'd call back to confirm. I'm still waiting. I tried contacting her again, but she never answered. If there wasn't a room, she could have just called or sent a WhatsApp message. But she doesn't use WhatsApp and doesn't answer the phone either. I don't understand this kind of politeness. Congratulations, madam.

Such a comfortable, lovely place, and we had a fantastic stay. The owner was really helpful and even brought us pizza! I'd read claims that they don't give receipts, but that's not true. I paid, and he gave me one.

It's near the Sant'Anna clinic, Villa del Sole, and Ciaccio hospital. I highly recommend it.
