Hotel Des Bains

The hotel and restaurant were run really well, with a wide choice of food at every meal. We were here for the first time as a family and had a wonderful vacation. The whole staff deserves credit for being so kind and helpful. It's also very close to the beach. I'd recommend the hotel, and we'd gladly repeat the experience.

The hotel looks lovely, the location is great, and the staff are always friendly and smiling. Having reserved parking right beside the hotel was especially convenient, since many places keep it a kilometer away. I booked full board, but the food was a letdown: limited choices and low quality in my opinion, so after lunch and dinner I switched to bed and breakfast. The shower setup was frustrating too, with no glass or curtain in front of the tub, so water gets all over the floor and leaves the bathmat soaked. I wouldn't come back personally; I prefer other kinds of accommodation.

The food was excellent, and I'd say don't change the chef! The location was ideal, fairly quiet, and the beach was fine. Room 91 was the downside for me, with its terrace looking out over a roof. The shower was just on the floor and soaked the toilet, bidet, and sink. At least I was on the top floor, where there was an outdoor solarium, play area, and library. I'd return, but choose a different room.

The beach was lovely too, with games, pedal boats, and a terrace bar overlooking the sea. We only stayed three days, but had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean and well located just steps from the beach, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great holiday!
