The central location was the one good thing. We paid extra for the hot tub, but it didn't work, and there was no hot water at all. We couldn't shower, and even the sink and bidet had no hot water. A good B&B for Swedes!

The final bill came to €101 for the night. The booking fee was €68, but they were charged €80 plus €1 in tourist tax, and after being tricked into checking out, they were asked for another €20 as a late fee. The bed was uncomfortable, there was no bottle of water, and reaching the place meant climbing three flights of stairs with no elevator. A terrible experience that felt like being robbed. Perhaps the show was part of the price, a typical Neapolitan sceneggiata, though it was a shame we weren't in a theater. The rules may be there to follow, but they need to be shown or explained. I travel often and have never run into anything like this before. Reviews I only saw after the stay suggest that others have also been asked to pay more for the night. All that false kindness at first, then this. Never again in this “enchantment”.

The center of Cava is a very convenient base if you don't have a car and want to see the beautiful arcades. Mrs. Sonia was kind and helpful, and I know her work takes commitment. I'm used to travelling and staying in all sorts of places, so I hope she takes these points as advice, not judgment. I like B&Bs to feel like staying in someone's home, and had pictured breakfast with a homemade donut, toast, and local jams. Instead, I had to go down to the bar, where the choices didn't suit me: I don't eat croissants or drink milk or coffee. The room was overheated and the fan couldn't cool it; she said she'd install air conditioning in September. The mini-bar didn't chill the water either. There was a chair to help lift luggage, but when I went upstairs with other guests, she wanted to use the stairlift before us. It was so slow we waited over five minutes to get up. There are still plenty of things that could be improved.

We couldn't have breakfast at all, since the affiliated café was closed both mornings, so I had to pay for breakfast somewhere else. Nothing special overall, and the bathroom felt dangerous because its design was meant to prevent head injuries.
