The hotel was superb, and the service from the attentive, cheerful staff made us very happy. The spa was among the best I've experienced after extensive travels around Europe. Our room was OK, though it felt dark and dingy because the windows were tiny and down at floor level. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was perfect. The big letdown was dinner at the one Michelin starred Oseleta restaurant. The setting was beautiful, the service great, and the wine list extensive, but I found the food disgusting. I ordered a dish without realizing the raw fish was served raw, and at 4:30 am that night I had raging runs. I can't say for sure what caused it, though the fish seems a likely possibility. We ended with Chateaubriand, but the filet steak was like old boot leather. That was enough, so we got up and left. The pink Champagne aperitive was excellent, as was the Oseleta wine made on their own estate. I don't like leaving a poor review, but I feel I should describe what happened and hope the restaurant can correct its mistakes, especially with its one Michelin star.

The standard rooms are on the small side, but they're well designed. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, with stunning original features and design touches, and the surrounding area is lovely. The restaurant staff were wonderful, especially Andrea, who is an absolute gem. Thank you!

The staff were brilliant and very professional, and our room/suite was high quality, tastefully modernized, and beautifully done. The grounds and pool area were stunning. We stayed for a week and had a wonderful time. Mosquitoes were a bit of a nuisance, and I think they could use a casual, simple food option. A meal for two is hard to manage for under €100, and we were never blown away by the food compared with local restaurants. Still, I'd certainly come back.

This is my favourite villa in Verona, and it's where my fiancé proposed. The team was super friendly and attentive while helping him plan the surprise. Check out the trail around the vineyards. We'll be back!
