Agritur Maso Chemela

I stayed for the Marcialonga, and Daniella and Paolo were great hosts who did a lot to make the visit memorable. The rooms were very nice, and both breakfast and the spa facilities were excellent. It's within 10 minutes of a food store and a couple of kilometres' walk from Cavalese, along a very pleasant route. Excellent value.

The rooms were roomy and really clean, and the location worked perfectly for us. Daniella was so kind and helpful during our six-day stay. We’d happily recommend it.

Breakfast was the biggest disappointment for us. There wasn’t much to choose from, and we didn’t find many local products. A few slices of two cakes, some speck and salami, two cheeses on half-plates, cereals that were nothing special, and two kinds of yogurt in large bowls made up much of it. The jams came in unattractive jars, and the drinks were in plain carafes that felt more suited to a cafeteria. Coffee and cappuccino came from vending machines, which felt out of place for a place described as a “Maso/Agriturismo.” We saw very little of the agricultural side. The lights were off at breakfast too, though the room wasn’t especially bright to begin with. Our room also felt very basic, with plain mountain-style furniture, a bathroom with only the essentials, a half-full 500ml soap dispenser, and towels that weren’t adequate. The “shower towel” felt more like a large face towel. In the middle of winter, we expected a warm atmosphere, but the room stayed around 20-21 degrees Celsius at most. The radiators were off and controlled by the host’s schedule, with no way for us to adjust them. We’ve stayed at many similar places during years of visiting Trentino, and this was the lowest standard we’ve experienced. After a disappointing two-day stay in Cavalese, we can’t recommend it. We feel there are much better options in the area, with more attentive service and a stronger focus on quality.

We loved the setting, with parking available and a scenic location. The owners welcomed us warmly and were professional, helpful, and genuinely top-notch. Our room was spotless and everything was well cared for. Breakfast had excellent local products, and we bought some of the cheese because it was so delicious. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.
