La Roccia Wellness Hotel

The pool and wellness spa were a dream, with a stunning pool and breathtaking views. We had two massages during our stay, and both left us feeling completely refreshed. Food was another highlight: excellent breakfast with a good continental selection and freshly prepared options to order, fantastic lobby lunch, especially the pasta, and superb dinners every evening with enough variety to try something new and a great selection of wines. Everyone was exceptional, especially Antonio and Thomas, who looked after us so well. We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The owner greeted us personally at check-in, and it was lovely seeing them each day, always warm, kind and genuinely interested in how our stay was going. We couldn't recommend La Roccia wellness hotel more highly. It's a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Dolomites, and we can't wait to return.

Don't bother. The rooms are tiny, like a budget hotel. It markets itself as luxury and charges luxury prices, but the experience doesn't match. For this price, it feels like poor value. Not the five stars you'd expect, not even close.

The hotel room looked and smelled fresh, and the views and wellness area were great. When the sun is out, the view is amazing; even in fog, the fresh air makes it lovely to breathe in and out. Breakfast was small, with fresh vegetables, scrambled eggs, fried eggs and hard-boiled eggs, plus different coffees you can order from the waiter. I was satisfied with the stay, though I can't comment on the infinity pool beyond saying it smells amazing. The gym has old Technogym treadmills, squat racks, a multipower, dumbbells, benches, a Technogym bike that isn't working, leg press, leg extension, leg curl, lat machine and rowing machine. A check-up would be useful, and I'd recommend a trade-in soon. I heard the hotel had a recent renovation, but the gym seems to have been forgotten, which takes away from the luxury feel.

The family who owns this beautiful hotel on the mountainside are involved day to day and make sure things run smoothly. The staff were incredibly helpful, the food was excellent, and the spa was top notch. It's an easy stroll into Cavalese. I liked the place so much that I changed my travel plans to stay an extra night.
