The only good part was that there were no extra charges, and we left the apartments as tidy as we found them. We have manners, after all. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend Junior Dependance. We were told we didn’t belong there because it was “for families,” after we quietly chatted with friends on the terrace at night. That rule hadn’t been mentioned on booking. The owner’s reaction felt completely out of proportion: she called the Carabinieri, who came into the apartments without permission, including the one where a young woman was asleep, shining flashlights around and looking for who knows what. When I tried to stand up for my rights as a guest and citizen, the owner made comments that were clearly racist, simply because we’re Romanian. Madam, I’ve worked as a vacation planner for over three years and traveled to many countries with groups of up to 50 people. Nowhere else have we been treated with such disrespect and discrimination. I also asked for a copy of the Carabinieri report. The owner started shouting, dodged the question, and refused to give us any documents. In 2025, it’s unacceptable that we still have to deal with discrimination and disrespect like this.
