Masseria Li Campi

After just one night, we left even though we'd booked three. The place felt depressing, more like a monastery or a cheap hostel in Central America than somewhere to stay on holiday. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but the glowing feedback online led us to expect something very different from what we found. The balcony at the back had almost no privacy, with only a few leaves between it and the neighboring balconies. Breakfast was bland, mostly stale pastries. Our room was old and bare, without decoration, charm, or any sign of care. The shower was outdated and uninviting, and the supposed double bed was two mattresses pushed together, which wasn't comfortable. We expected a simple place, but not this.

Irina and Alessandro made us feel as though we were staying in their home. They were warm and kind, and Irina welcomed us with lots of useful information about the area and things to do. Her homemade cakes and pastries made breakfast a treat every morning, and the dinners we had on site on two nights were delicious. Masseria Li Campi ended up being the highlight of our stay in Lecce. We'd had a disappointing experience at the accommodation we'd first booked, then found this place and were so grateful we did. It gave us the genuine, hospitable Italian experience we were hoping for. Masseria Li Campi is more than just a place to stay, and we'd highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely place just a short distance from Lecce's main city. The staff were pleasant, courteous, and helpful with whatever we needed. Breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere was good, and the service was excellent.

This is a good place to stop for some quiet, peace, and rest, and it's conveniently located for getting to several key spots. The owner was so hospitable and gave us information on many things. We also had fun playing with the sweet dog Cassie. Best regards.
