The food was mostly frozen, ready-made stuff and well below what I’d expect in Italy. We were also sent to an Airbnb next door for our first night because the hotel was overbooked. The host and owner were rude and unpleasant.

2/10
The rooms were clean, though a little dated, and the hotel is fairly close to the Paganella ski center. Beyond that, our stay was a disaster. Staff were rude and unfriendly, and wouldn’t speak anything but Italian. Meals were poor and served in a school cafeteria style, with portions handed out badly. Breakfast was the same every day. The waiters seemed to avoid guests, so we had to wait for everything and keep asking. The bathroom drain was blocked and smelled awful, the Wi-Fi didn’t work, and the wellness area was smelly and dirty. It was open only a few hours daily, and use was limited to one hour with a reservation. Very disappointing.

4/10
Rooms were small but clean, and the ski boot dryer came in very handy. The internet barely worked, though. Breakfast had no vegetables, just cheap cheese and salami. Dinner offered some vegetables, but they were cold, and there were no vegetarian choices. The food was really poor in both quality and variety. The whole experience left me underwhelmed.

The meals are awful, and today’s “hamburger” really summed it up. The meat itself was good, but the cheese was dry and there was no bread. I’m shocked by the food. The chef needs to be changed.

The location worked well for skiing, with the slopes reachable by car or skibus, and food was included in the price. The rooms were clean. I’d rate it 3.5 out of 5.
