We were happy with the dinner, which was Italian cuisine, and the staff were very helpful. The apartments were nice and clean. The beach is about 400m away, though we already knew that.

It's a lovely place, with plenty of private greenery around each house for shared meals. The pool is nice and the bike rental service is excellent, but we didn't try the restaurant. Still, it isn't cheap, and I'd choose somewhere else. The apartments need a good renovation. The mattresses sag, the windows have no mosquito nets, and the old electric stoves in the kitchen barely work, making cooking almost impossible. The fridge is tiny. The shower curtain felt unhygienic and left the whole bathroom flooded. Outside, the tables are old and worn, and a couple of loungers would be nice. With a little investment, this could be a very welcoming place.

Cecinella, September 25. It's a great spot for hiking and spending time on the nearby coast, provided you can fill your car with everything you need to be comfortable. The bungalows are very basic and dated, with badly worn furniture. We were lucky ours was clean. The kitchen has very little in it, and the electric hobs are rusty. There's no microwave, toaster, kettle, or dish soap. Bring a large teacup or a sharp knife if you need one, along with plenty of other things. The terrace chairs were uncomfortable, so we brought our own. The bed's old spring mattress was uncomfortable too, and we covered it with our own blankets. The bathroom has no window or hairdryer. Its plastic shower curtain kept blocking the drain. Each bed has a thin wool blanket to cover yourself with, so in autumn you may want to bring your own duvet covers. That worked perfectly for us.

The place itself was beautiful, but neglected in some ways. I did like that there were no mosquitoes, flies, cicadas, or other annoying insects, though every now and then you could see a bee. The pool, the kids, and the three guys doing the entertainment were the only real positives. We did relax, despite all the inconveniences. I'm neither recommending it nor saying to avoid it; it depends what someone wants from a holiday. I shared some photos of what we found. This was our first holiday in a village, and we came away a bit disappointed. We rented a nice little house that was rather small for two people. The kitchen was dirty, so we had to clean it ourselves. The cupboards were so high they weren't comfortable to use, and the bathroom towel rails were difficult for me to reach. We made the bed ourselves. We asked for fresh linen midweek, but it never came as a change. I don't know if they normally change linen at home every 15 days. When it did arrive, it was left on the dirty outside table even though we were indoors, and my husband had to complain again. The grill was in bad shape. We asked for a better one and got a similar one, then had to ask a third time before they brought a new one, but everything stuck to it. We used it twice in 15 days. The outdoor table and chairs were covered in dust. There was something like a dead cockroach in front of the wardrobe. In the evenings, everyone went to bed at 11-30 pm because of the nearby campsite. We never tried the food, based on what other guests said.

We went to "La Cecinella" at the end of August 2024. After reading some bad reviews, I was a little doubtful when we arrived to check in, but we soon felt relieved. The place was clean, right down to the smell when we walked in, and everything worked. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful, well-organized resort for families with children. The pools for adults and kids were tidy and well maintained. The location is just a little out of the way, but you can easily get around by bike or shuttle. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and were very happy with it. I'd recommend staying here!
