Residence with pool in Marina di Cecina

The room was cozy and had plenty of space. We had a great time, the receptionist was very friendly, and I'd come back with my partner.

Our stay was awful. The place didn't look like the pictures on the website, and using the kitchen cost €40.

The location was one of the few upsides: about a ten-minute walk to the beach, with street parking available. We also liked being able to use Netflix, Prime Video and other streaming services on the TV. The room was small but adequate for two, and the bed was fairly comfortable. Still, we were very disappointed. We booked mainly for the pool, then learned on arrival that it couldn't be used. For a place advertising itself as a four-star hotel, we expected more service, cleanliness and comfort, and I wouldn't recommend it. The walls were thin enough that we heard everything from neighboring rooms, and there wasn't even an outlet near the bed. The bathroom was tiny, the shower was uncomfortable, and rusty water came out as soon as we turned it on. We also found strange little animals on the kitchen table. There was a stovetop, but using it cost an extra €40, which seems absurd for a residence. During four nights we got just one roll of toilet paper, and there was no dish soap, napkins or basic kitchen supplies. The balcony was dirty, and although there was air conditioning, it barely cooled the room.

The only things I liked were the location, near both the sea and the center, and the relatively low price given the issues. The rooms were small and not modern, there was no washing machine, and the balconies had pigeon droppings. The toilet smelled of sewage, and the shower was stomach-churning. There's no working elevator; it hasn't worked for months, perhaps because repairs cost too much, which could be a problem for disabled guests. I'd give the place a rough pass, but wouldn't stay longer than a week.
