Appartamento Elena

The only good thing about this apartment was the location, close to the sea and the center. I stayed with my partner from August 18th to 28th, 2024, and the apartment was dirty. I'm not expecting a deep clean, just basic cleaning. There was dust everywhere, a hair in the bidet, toothpaste in the sink, dirt behind some kind of rusty organizer underneath, and sauce stains on the front door. I told the owner, a certain Mrs. Elena, I was disappointed. They said the cleaning lady came back the next day. When we returned that evening, the spots I'd mentioned were still dirty. I don't doubt she came, but what did she do? I wrote to the owner politely, but she was grumpy, complained that I still had something to say, and pointed out that the lady had found a mess and an abandoned sanitary pad. I was disappointed about that, but I leave whatever I want lying around in my own house for 10 days. I said the cleaner didn't need to tidy up, but should at least clean the things I'd found dirty. My boyfriend showed it all to a certain Mr. Valerio, who gave us the keys on the first day. All he could say was that the cleaning lady had been paid twice. For €35 cleaning fee, I expected a decently clean place. After that, we stopped contacting them and sanitized the apartment ourselves, because we had to live there. It was also dirty and missing basic things an apartment should have, like forks, and the bathroom was really ugly. A friendlier, more helpful owner would have made the stay better, instead of someone who was insincerely polite at first just to close the sale.
