The location is very central and the room is spacious, but it was hard to reach because of all the stairs, and the furniture felt like a collection of leftovers. Breakfast was good, though it is served at La Plumeria hotel, about a 5 minute walk away. Our stay was terrible. On arrival, the welcome was unfriendly and not accommodating. Even with the high temperatures, no one offered us water. The room AC wasn't working, and the host didn't seem eager to fix it or find another solution. It was eventually fixed somehow, but then a strong sewage smell came from the AC. We had to work out how to put it into some kind of self-cleaning mode ourselves, which solved the smell. At 3:30 at night, the electric door lock started loudly locking and unlocking itself for several minutes. It was unsettling to wake up to, and for a moment we thought someone was trying to get in. We decided to move elsewhere the next day, even though we had chosen to extend our stay in Cefalu.

The location is fantastic, and the service was great. Staff aren't on site, as they're at the main hotel 900 m down the street, but they helped us quickly through WhatsApp, answered questions, and even helped us decide on extra excursions, like renting a boat for a day. They also arranged nearby parking and a transfer between the car and the hotel entrance, which is in the city center where traffic isn't allowed. The AC worked well and cooled the room quickly when we arrived, though, as is typical for European hotels, the lights and AC only work with the room key inserted while you're in the room. The beds were by far the most uncomfortable of our entire multi-week trip through Italy. We prefer firm mattresses, but these felt like plywood, and as a side sleeper I actually bruised my hips. There were eight of us and we rented all three rooms in this small hotel. Everyone agreed the beds needed a soft pad on top. Our quad room was spacious, but it had a horrible sewage smell that often woke me at night. The hotel kindly said this can happen in the old town, and thankfully the smell got better over our stay. All the rooms are on the same floor, up about four flights of steep stairs. That was rough for our elderly members, and I'd strongly recommend bringing small bags. If stairs aren't a problem and the beds had a softer pad, I would recommend the hotel. We couldn't wait for our next stop so we could sleep without bruising ourselves.

The owner was nice, breakfast was nice, and the location was perfect.

Everything is close by, including the beach, restaurants, sights and shops, and the location is fantastic. There was good parking a little farther from the hotel, and they let us check in early. Still, this B&B was the worst place of our trip, and I wouldn't recommend it. The beds were rock hard, with springs digging into our backs, and the room smelled unpleasant. You also have to pay extra to have sheets or towels changed. Reaching the room meant carrying heavy suitcases up two very long flights of stairs, which didn't feel safe in case of a fire. The room was noisy too, so at night every person on the stairs and every downstairs door slam woke us.

We had a wonderful stay in Cefalù's historic center, in an old building where you enter with a code provided when you arrive. Our room was a nicely furnished quadruple with its own bathroom. Breakfast was included, excellent and varied, and served just steps away at the owners' hotel in a very welcoming atmosphere. Thank you!
