We felt at home in this apartment, which was bigger than the photos suggested. The bed was comfortable, the towels were fresh, the washing machine was nice, and our host was lovely. There are two balconies: one off the living room with a sea view, and another from the bedroom facing La Rocca. The location in Cefalu’s beautiful center was a highlight. Free parking recommended by the host is about a 10-minute walk from the harbor, and felt safe. One thing to keep in mind for a longer visit, or if noise bothers you: the bedroom faces the main street, which got very loud at night. We stayed just three nights, so it wasn’t a major issue for us. Toiletries aren’t provided, as the booking information says.

Via Candeloro 43 is right in the heart of Cefalù, just 50 meters from the famous Norman cathedral. The wide sandy beach is about a 5-7-minute walk away. From the apartment you can look out toward the sea on one side and the lighthouse and La Rocca on the other. It has two bedrooms and everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. Pier was attentive and considerate without being intrusive. The bedroom faces a fairly noisy street, though closing the balcony door shut out the sound.

They’re scammers. Even when you cancel on time, you have to fight to get your money back. They come up with reasons to refuse the refund and keep the money. They take cash and avoid taxes, and there are no receipts, so you have no way to get anything back. Be careful with them.
