L'Arca Residence

The view was the highlight for us. From the apartments we could see Cefalù’s cathedral, the rocky hill behind town, and the sea. Having coffee on the balcony in the morning while watching the sunrise was one of the best parts of our trip. The balcony gets morning sun, then later it moves over to the large private patios. The pool is small but very inviting, and I imagine it’s even nicer in the August heat. The apartments were spotless when we arrived. I’d suggest adding a few more kitchen and cleaning items, like a grater, peeler, broom, or mop, plus basic supplies to help guests keep things tidy during their stay. The road up is narrow and winding, so I’d say you need a car. Even so, these apartments made a fantastic base for our week in the resort, and I’d absolutely recommend them for the location and those incredible views.

It's a peaceful, cozy spot to unwind, and the view makes the climb worthwhile. The pool is incredible, and the apartment is comfortable, with AC, laundry, and all the equipment you need. Bring your own detergent, and stock up on groceries before you arrive since there aren't any nearby. The street leading up is very steep and narrow.

We only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed longer. Each room has its own terrace, and there's also a shared terrace at the top and a swimming pool with a fantastic view of Cefalù. The rooms felt clean, cozy, and homey, and the friendly staff gave us all the instructions we needed. Getting there means driving up a tight, steep road, though the mirrors helped. If you're an experienced driver, it shouldn't be a problem. A great choice for anyone who loves a beautiful view!

The road up looks daunting at first, but once you've driven it and learned the bends, it's easy enough. Mirrors along the roadside help you check for oncoming cars. We had plenty of space, including a terrace with a BBQ, and the view was magnificent. It was far from town, traffic, and noise. You can sometimes hear dogs and donkeys, but even as someone sensitive to noise when falling asleep, I slept fine. There's a washing machine, a kitchen with the essentials, and a large fridge. In town, I recommend Gourmet Deco for groceries. We've moved on with our tour and already miss the place. Arca is somewhere we'd come back to. 10/10.
