La Casa di Joy -Luxury Suites

The room is really nice.

There was nothing luxurious about this stay, and the service didn't justify the price. I found the way the owner managed things distant and unclear, and the owner never came in person. There was no real check-in or explanation, just cold messages on WhatsApp. The neighbors seemed annoyed whenever we used the stairs or passed through the entrance hall. Getting to the building was tiring too. It's at the top of a very steep hill, which was uncomfortable to walk up, especially with luggage. The so-called suites turned out to be ordinary apartments in an unremarkable residential building, on the third floor with no elevator. All we got was three narrow flights of stairs and no welcome or comforts. The view wasn't there at all, just gray buildings. Inside, things were basic and only barely clean enough. The photos and description on Booking.com were grossly misleading and set completely unrealistic expectations. Cleaning and fresh towels were only offered every three nights, and then only for a fee. When we asked for clean towels or an extra cleaning, we were told it would cost 30 euros extra. The whole experience was profoundly disappointing. I highly recommend it.

We'd definitely stay here again if we return to Cefalù. The apartment was even better in person than in the photos, with lots of space, a recent renovation, and everything needed for a great stay. The location worked really well: parking was included, the beach was five minutes away, and the cathedral about 15 minutes on foot. It's on the third floor without an elevator, but the floors are small, so the stairs are easy to manage. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and easy to reach. I highly recommend it.

There's parking and an elevator, and the apartment itself is fantastic, newly renovated, and very spacious. It's close to the city center, though the location is a bit unusual. Finding your way there can be difficult, especially at night, because the city has poor signage. That's not the accommodation's fault, of course. I recommend it!
