Palazzo Villelmi

We stayed from Saturday to Wednesday in the first week of March, and Federico's local knowledge shaped the whole trip. He gave us ten restaurant suggestions, and we went to one for every meal except one. That was only because we wanted to try somewhere new each time and some places close on certain days. Every restaurant and cafe was incredible, each with its own take on Sicilian food. Federico also helped with reservations and suggested things to do beyond eating. The network of people he knows in this small beach town made his recommendations especially useful. The hotel is easy to walk from to anywhere in town and has a lovely view of the duomo. The rooms were just right for us since we planned to spend most of our time exploring. Bar Duomo cafe is next door for sweet or savoury breakfast and coffee, and later for aperitivo or dessert. When our taxi dropped us about a quarter mile away, Federico, the owner, happened to meet us and helped carry our bags. That was unplanned, but set the tone for a great stay. We'll stay somewhere he runs whenever we're back in Cefalù.

The location is right in the historic centre, facing the Cathedral and just three minutes from the beach. From the rooftop terrace, you can see the city and sea and watch the sunset with a glass of wine. I didn't miss a single one. I had planned to stay just one night, but the palace, the staff's kindness, and the magical Cathedral view made me extend my visit. Federico welcomed me warmly and showed me to an elegant, well-furnished, very clean room. From the window, the Cathedral looks like a work of art on the wall. I felt at home straight away. Federico carefully picked out excellent restaurants serving delicious Sicilian food, helped me book tables, and suggested places to visit around Cefalù. Every restaurant was a fantastic experience. Federico and Federica made sure I had everything I needed, and I'm very grateful. I can't wait to return to dreamy Cefalù and this beautiful palace.

The owner made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived and went out of his way to make the trip special. His suggestions for restaurants and hidden gems were spot on. We also arranged a private sunset boat tour through the hotel, which was magical and made the visit feel unique. The warmth and care we received made all the difference. I had an amazing stay and will definitely return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sicily.

The room was spacious and clean, and the location was incredible for both the views and the surrounding area. Federico was a huge help with my proposal on the terrace. He arranged almost everything, from flowers, a table, drinks and ice cream to helping me hire a photographer and violinist. I'd highly recommend staying here.
