The team really made our stay special. The young women at reception were so friendly and always ready to help, and the bartenders and service staff made us feel welcome at the bar and restaurant. My man and I recently stayed at Insulae Resort and fell in love with it. It's in a peaceful corner of Cefalù, but only a 10-minute drive from the lively center. We loved the pool, bar, spa and sports area. It has everything for a relaxing holiday. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cefalù, especially if you want a quiet retreat with easy access to town.

It's a calm, elegant resort with a boutique feel and splendid service. Check-in came with a welcome cocktail, a classy touch. The room was spacious and had a balcony, and the pool area was great. Parking on site was easy. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, though there aren't any mid-day snacks by the pool. The bathroom towels weren't very clean and weren't changed every day. Good value for what you get, overall 4/5.

When we wanted to relax, the resort had what we needed, or we could take a three-minute walk to the rocky beach with crystal clear water. For exploring Sicily, Insulae worked perfectly too. The free shuttle takes you to Cefalu, and after dinner we could walk along the sea for a light 30 minutes or have reception arrange a taxi. Palermo is easy to reach by train or a 45 min drive, while Etna, Catania and Messina are within 1h45 min by car. Every person at Insulae made this our best stay so far, and we thank the whole staff for the excellent service. Special applause to the kitchen for a fantastic fine-dining dinner, Guide Michelin is knocking. Dear Insulae Team, THANK YOU ALL for the perfect time!

The staff at breakfast, the pool bar and dinner were lovely. We really appreciated the service and little chats with everyone. We had a car, so the rather isolated location didn't bother us, but it's good to know when booking. The rooms are small, and the beds are too, just standard doubles, not large as described. The pool area is nice, though the pool isn't deep and the water was always quite warm. There's a railway station just behind, so a few times during the day and night we heard quite a bit of noise. They charge to change pool towels, and given there's nothing nearby, it would be nice if they offered a bit more free water.
