We loved our time at Sunset Hotel in Cefalù. The rooftop pool and terrace were a highlight, a great place to unwind with a drink and enjoy the view. From there, and from our modern, spotless, comfortable room, we could admire the scenery. We had all the amenities we needed, and the sunsets over the sea were stunning. The hotel is right beside the water and just a short stroll from the old town. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options and was delicious. The staff were warm and attentive, and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

The concierge made such a difference this week. They were friendly and kind, recommended great places for dinner, and arranged tours and cars. A big thank you to Christine + Salvatore for making the hotel feel like home. I’ll be back, hope you don’t get sick of me ;). I slept extremely well, and could hear the ocean from the balconies, which also have a lovely sea view. Breakfast was delicious, with everything you’d want and more. The rooftop has stunning 360 views of the whole coast and city, and the newly built spa was very relaxing. Simona the masseuse was very good. From my experience, this is the best and newest hotel in Cefalù, with the amenities of a modern luxury hotel, and it’s great value for the price.

The location was excellent, close to lovely Lido Eolo beach, around 15-20 minutes on foot from the old town and less from the train station. Our room was clean and spacious, though trees next door blocked part of the view. The seating area on the first floor had fantastic views. Service was fine, though a coffee machine for guests to use at breakfast would have made it better. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Our short stay at Sunset Hotel was wonderful. Nina at reception was especially friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and modern, with a lovely view, and we really liked the shower. The rooftop pool had an even better view.

The sea view is spectacular, but the guest experience in the older building, which they call the “villa”, felt exclusionary. The rooms are outdated and far below the standard expected for the price. We were made to feel awkward or inferior for booking there. Guests check in and out at Sunset, park there, and have breakfast there. The two buildings are architecturally attached, so it’s the guest’s job to decipher what belongs to which property. I don’t recommend it.
