Terrazza Lungomare

We love Cefalù’s beach and this stretch of the lungomare. It’s one of the prettiest along the coast, and the evening walk by the water is a favorite. There are lots of restaurants for food and drinks, and the sunset views are amazing.

A lovely 2 km walk along the coast, with shallow water you can wade through several meters out. You can also surf, and the views of La Roca and Cefalù’s old historic center are terrific.

Cefalu’s old town is the real reason to come. Its lanes and streets have lots of interesting shops, buildings, and churches, so take a look around there. The waterfront walk itself is pleasant enough, with nice views, restaurants, beaches for sunbathing, shops, and street stalls. The water is blue and the walk is good, though it can get hot in high season. Still, after seeing many similar places around the world, it felt familiar rather than special. Summer crowds add to that, especially on the beach, which was packed. The Lungomare was less crowded. We weren’t there for the beach, thankfully, but for the old town. The walk is worth doing, just keep your focus on beautiful Cefalu’s historic center.

Plenty of parking, and good restaurants close by. A nice spot to have an easygoing day at the beach.
