The only good thing about this place is its central spot, right in the center of Cefalù. The apartment itself is old-fashioned, dirty, and furnished in a way that doesn't make sense. The beds were awful, with dips in the mattresses, and it didn't feel like a holiday at all. I wouldn't trust the high Booking.com ratings. I think they may be from when the apartment was still fairly new, and I can't understand how it still gets such high new reviews. When we complained, the owner was very unfriendly. They called us liars in public and invented claims about things we supposedly broke.

We found the house very nice and conveniently located, but there were several problems. We were told at check-in, in the afternoon, that the Wi-Fi had been out since that morning. We were asked to pay close attention to recycling, yet there were no bins or bags. Before checkout we reported that there had been no hot water since the day before, so our showers were completely cold. The lady calmly said she already knew and would need to replace the mixer tap. It seems inappropriate to rent out a fairly expensive apartment with known repairs pending, when people may book months or even days ahead.

The bedding was incredibly uncomfortable, there was rust all over the bathroom, and the shower head was basically nonexistent, among other problems. How does this place have an 8.5/10 rating on Booking.com? It was a nightmare, avoid it at all costs. One star for whoever photoshopped the Booking.com photos. They made the apartment look fantastic!

It's in a very good location, but the amenities are really mediocre. The apartment wasn't well equipped, the bedding was deplorable, and everything was dirty and poorly maintained. The boiler also leaks and smells of gas every time it starts up.
