A handy location along the boardwalk, about 5-10 minutes on foot from the center. There was free parking and free sun beds at the beach. Breakfast was really nice, with fresh Sicilian food and orange juice. The rooms were clean, though the four-star hotel is a little dated. Bring earplugs at weekends. There’s a nearby club with outdoor music until 3 a.m.

We arrived on Saturday and couldn't sleep until 4 a.m. The neighborhood music was incredibly loud. A bar was about 10 meters from our window, and our room was literally shaking. We asked reception to move us, but they said that wasn't possible. The receptionist told us that if we wanted to sleep in Cefalu, we should go up into the mountains, then pointed out how cheap our reservation was compared with current prices. It had been made six months in advance. Really rude, and a very bad experience.

The view was excellent, and the hotel is well placed near the sea. I slept well, and the bed was absolutely fine. We only stayed one night. It’s an older place that could use a little renovation here and there, but that’s normal. Breakfast was very good, especially being able to press fresh juice yourself. I haven’t even seen that in premium hotels. A special thanks to Valentina, who kindly helped us find local shops and agencies. Her smile alone can make your day. I really hope the hotel treats its employees well, because she deserves a raise. Thank you again, and grazie.

We visited Cefalu in July 2024, my husband, daughter, and I, and stayed at Villa Gaia Hotel. We’d been here a few times several years ago, and were disappointed by how much had changed. The place needs some care, and the pictures are misleading, especially of the bathroom. The shower has all sorts of features, but they don’t work, and the fittings are rusty. The woman at reception misrepresented the room we’d previously agreed to by phone. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel, since there are many nice newer places in the same area.

The only good-quality food was at breakfast. Otherwise, this would have been a one-star stay. The rooms were overpriced and weren't cleaned; there wasn't even a vacuum cleaner for us to use ourselves. The staff spoke almost no English. We couldn't use the beach near the hotel and had to walk 10 minutes to another one. Towels cost an extra 2 euros per person, and WiFi was very slow. There was no free wall plug in the room. Stay away from Italy…
