Augustali Momenti Apartment

The only tricky part was arriving with luggage. The steps we had to climb were long and awkward, so it would help to arrange in advance for guests to unload quickly from the car in the alley, then park afterward. Otherwise, this is hard-to-find accommodation at a very high level. It's a small house over two floors, with a kitchenette and a big work table downstairs. Upstairs, the bright, airy main bedroom looks across the valley toward Mount Etna. At night, you can see a little red lava flow high up in the distance. The windowed bathroom is airy too, and has a view, which is unusual. The village is 700 meters away, so it stays cool enough to sleep without air conditioning. The renovated archaeological museum, with some lovely pieces, is 200 meters away. There's also a wonderful Futurist exhibition at the town hall, including Sicilian artists. We stayed for one night and enjoyed wandering through Centuripe's little lanes. The apartment was bright, spotless, and comfortable, with rooms that had everything we needed.
