The view from the hotel is lovely, and breakfast was good and filling. Dinner was about 20-30 euros per person. Getting around is a bit inconvenient. You can reach the hotel by car, but parking costs 20 euros a night and there’s no free option. The lot is small, so finding a space when you get back in the evening can be difficult. The rooms also feel old, and some furniture was broken and needs replacing. The bathroom and toilet were clean and in good shape after renovation, though the heating was weak. The very old heater was so noisy it made the room less comfortable. We also had trouble sleeping because a dog in a nearby room barked continuously one evening.

The climb from town is very steep, and the hotel doesn’t provide transport. For us, the view didn’t make that hike worthwhile. Our room was extremely small and faced the front, so we couldn’t see the lake. There were two weddings during our stay, which made us feel uncomfortable and affected the service. One day, a guest threw up by the pool. We complained, but the hotel didn’t seem bothered. There are some amazing hotels on Lake Como with better transport options.

My favorite part was breakfast, with a wonderful view from the dining area, even though it was cloudy when I visited. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. My room was clean, and toiletries were provided. The bed was quite firm, but after traveling all day from Australia, it felt like heaven. Coming from Milan, you can take a train to Saronno and then to Lago Como. An Uber from Como was about 35 euros. There are two buses as well, but the Sunday schedule is limited. If you take the C110 to Cernobbio town, there’s quite an uphill walk to the hotel.

Some things in the room were broken, and checkout came with unexpected charges. At night, the toilet flushing and drain pipes from the upper floors were very loud. The drains weren’t soundproofed and didn’t seem to be installed properly.
