Horse rides are on offer, including trips for beginners. Certaldo is only a five-minute drive away, and it’s a lovely town to visit with plenty of shops. The farmhouse is beautiful and everything was neat and clean, even around the horses. Our apartment was very nice and had everything we needed. The big pool was clean and well looked after, and there’s a smaller, shallow one for children. You can tell the place is run with real care and passion.

Maurizio is a wonderful riding instructor. He offers pony rides with a guide, lessons for €25 per 45 minutes, and trail rides that last 1-2 hours, with an hour costing €40. He patiently gave our six-year-old her first two proper lessons in the indoor arena, and both our girls were completely happy. The horses are friendly and come over to the fence to be petted. We stayed for ten days with our two daughters. The property is beautiful, with a very large clean pool, a baby pool, and comfortable loungers. The apartments are spacious and well equipped. The owners are all really nice, and the Wi-Fi worked very well, even for work. Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Siena, and the seaside are all easy to reach from here. Certaldo’s old town is well worth seeing, and there are some delicious restaurants there. The restaurant at the property has been closed since the coronavirus pandemic, but there’s plenty of room to grill your own food or spend a quiet evening on the terrace. Bring mosquito spray for the evenings.

If you’re after peace and quiet, this is an ideal spot. It sits among green hills with a pool, and there are 32 horses in spacious paddocks. The apartments are roomy for two. The owners are young and clearly have a lot to do. Coop in Certaldo is only a few kilometers away. Recommended.
