We'd driven all the way from Belgium toward Milan, and this booking turned into a terrible experience. On Booking.com we entered 22:00 as our arrival time, even though the listing said check-in ended at 20:00. The owner accepted the reservation with that time. Then, at 11:48 on check-in day, he messaged to say we couldn't arrive after 20:00. After such a long drive, getting there two hours earlier wasn't realistic. When we pointed out that we'd given the time in advance, he told us to cancel and lose half of what we'd paid, then accused us of lying. We tried to hurry over without even stopping for dinner. Google Maps showed 20:10, so we asked if he could wait ten minutes. He refused. I understand he wasn't obliged to accommodate us, but he shouldn't have accepted the booking, and there was no need to be so rude. The whole day was ruined, and we lost 60 euros for nothing.

We paid a very reasonable price for a lovely, peaceful stay. There are animals and green views, and the apartment was clean, with good-sized bedrooms and a large bathroom. Breakfast was good too. The owner was very kind and even gave us a bag of really good risotto rice when we checked out.

They recommend Green Park and offer a discount on some menu choices, but we were disappointed with the restaurant in every way. The accommodation itself is neat and recently renovated in an Italian country style, with matching furniture. Unfortunately, it's all IKEA, which doesn't really justify the price.

The gardens are beautiful and the place is completely peaceful. The staff were courteous and very helpful. A perfect spot to spend an evening, and I'll definitely come back.

I'm still shocked by how rude the owner was. I don't even want to get into the details, but this was the worst experience I've ever had. Stay away. It's a disgrace to Italian tourism.
