Ü Maxeu - Libeccio

A beautiful place to stay, with very friendly and helpful hosts. Every now and then they even gave us fresh vegetables from their garden.

We’ve already booked here two years in a row. Both times we had Scirocco, for five days in 2024 and then 14 days in 2025. It’s a lovely place to stay and a handy base for visiting wonderful spots within an hour’s drive. The small apartment suits a couple well, and its covered roof means you can still sit outside comfortably when it rains. The owners are very kind, and do everything they can to make you feel at ease. The houses are a little noisy, though I didn’t find it bothersome. Last year there was no water issue, but heavy rain last spring caused water to rise and damage the lower part of the walls. I trust they’ll get that sorted soon. I also liked the large pool shared by the four apartments. There’s enough space that you don’t feel crowded. The path there is a bit narrow but manageable. The walk to the cottage is steep, though you get used to it after a couple of trips, and it’s actually a bit of a thrill. We’ll definitely be back. Cindy

The trip to the accommodation was extremely unpleasant. In Apartment Scirocco, there was visible water damage on the walls in the kitchen, living and dining area, and hallway. The owner’s mother told us it was from water damage, but we weren’t told before booking, even though it seemed to have happened earlier. That’s disgraceful. We wouldn’t have wanted to spend our vacation in those conditions, and there was no discount. When I walked through the apartment to inspect it, the soles of my feet turned black. The bright yellow sofa with nice accessories shown in the photo was actually dirty, had no cushions, and was covered by a disgusting brown-striped blanket. The wall decoration was poor, and there was no cozy rug in front of the sofa. If it had looked like that online, we’d have looked elsewhere. The bathroom mat was an ugly, stained rag. The supposed garden view was really across the driveway to the apartments and a fence, with a tree-covered slope beyond. The path down to the swimming pool was narrow and uncomfortable. The pool had a green border, and the surrounding area urgently needed renovation. The house was very noisy, and the outdoor seating was not comfortable.

The apartment was lovely and clean, with a beautiful view, and the owners were great. There are four apartments in total, sharing a pool with an even better view. You can hear the highway in the distance when it’s quiet, but it didn’t spoil our stay. Great location, excellent value, and highly recommended.
