The mountain views were the only good thing about this school trip. I go abroad every year, and this was the worst one I’ve been on. Everyone got norovirus, with vomiting and diarrhoea. I believe it was due to poor kitchen sanitation, which showed in the dirty forks and knives. The food options for vegetarians and people who were lactose intolerant or gluten-free were poor. You had to pay for drinks, with water the only thing provided free at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My room was filthy. There was condensation and mould on the ceiling, and the bed was dirty with hairs in it. I brought my own blanket and pillowcase. The staff were okay. I’m also concerned about the smash glass, which looked close to breaking. The place could do much better with better sanitation and food choices, and improvements to the rooms, including nicer colours, safer beds, changed windows, and a dehumidifier to get rid of the mould. I really don’t recommend it.

The food was actually all right for me as a vegetarian, though I’d heard plenty of people say it was bad. The room was damp when we arrived, and the towels were dirty. We didn’t get clean ones until the second day. The bunk bed also looked as if it might collapse.

The one handy thing was the ski storage. The rest was so poor that this was probably the worst holiday stay I’ve had. I don’t need much luxury, but the standards here were really low. Breakfast was horrible, so don’t book it. We tried it, then went elsewhere for breakfast and dinner. The facilities were mediocre. A room for five had only three power sockets, the beds were uncomfortable, and a loud echo throughout the building made it hard to sleep. Staff didn’t speak English or any other language we could use. Even with simple questions, they said they didn’t understand or told us, “not my problem.” I’ll never go back. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t.

The pasta was uncooked, with an insane variety of shapes. And what a treat to have your whole room “cleaned” by staff who definitely won’t come in and steal your money or rummage through your things. The doors all have locks, so you can enjoy total privacy. Sleep with your eyes open.
