Hotel Cappello

The location is very central, which seems to be the only reason the €50 for one night felt justified. You can hear every voice from the main square, though Cesena itself is very quiet. The host kept my luggage all day and really saved the day. My room had one bed, and the bathroom was tiny, with scratched tiles. The shower was level with the rest of the bathroom floor.

The replacement hotel was okay, but it was outside the center and offered no convenience. Since restaurants and other places open at night are in the center, I had to walk 20 minutes each way in the cold to find food. This was the opposite of what I expected from Albergo Cappello, and there was no apology or compensation. I wouldn't recommend booking here when you can't know what you'll actually get for your money. I prepaid for two nights in a double room at Albergo Cappello Cesena, which only accepts prepaid bookings. It used to be my usual place for work visits to Cesena, about once a week during this season. On the morning I was due to arrive, they said a technical problem meant the room wasn't available for the first night, so they'd booked me elsewhere in town, supposedly nearby. I agreed at first, then checked the new place and found it wasn't in the city center. Albergo Cappello left me with the choice of accepting the changed arrangement or losing my money and paying twice.

It's a cosy hotel, not luxurious, but well placed. The room has good Wi-Fi, and there's daily cleaning and a nice restaurant. The staff are helpful and friendly, and it's a very good option at a moderate price.

I liked both the hotel and its location. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there's a lovely market with clothes and food. The hotel gives you a voucher for the restaurant downstairs, which is very good. I'll stay here again next time I'm in town.
