Executive Evolution Hotel

The open bar and pool were the only real positives for us. We were a group of 50 people staying for 3 nights, and this was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, if not the worst. The management were incredibly arrogant. The bartenders and waiters were the only ones who were up for grabs. The food felt like an elementary school cafeteria, very questionable and very limited. The bed wasn’t comfortable, far from it, although at least it was clean. Our room had a double bed and a bunk bed, but only two outlets for charging my phone, so I had to charge it in the bathroom. I don’t know how this can be a 4-star hotel when it says 3-star on the outlets.

The employees were excellent and aren’t to blame, but the organization from their superiors was shameful. Dinner runs from 7:30 to 9 PM, yet arriving at 8 PM meant waiting 20 minutes to be seated. Once seated, there wasn’t enough food left, so we had to wait again or sometimes couldn’t get our food because the kitchen closed early. Having 300 beds in a room that can hold at most 100 isn’t good either. The rooms were clean, but the mattress was one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever slept on, and I left with a sore back. There was no Wi-Fi reception in my room, and my cell phone had no signal either, so I couldn’t make calls or do anything else. It’s not a 4-star hotel with so many things missing, even though it has potential. The terrace is spectacular, with an open bar, the pool is beautiful, and there’s a free shuttle to the beach. It has the makings of a nice hotel, but the management is so bad. Let’s hope they fix it!

The staff were mostly very friendly, especially the chef and bar team, but the buffet and food choices didn't feel like four-star quality. I also found the hotel poorly organized, and it needs a serious overhaul. We stayed three days, and although the sea was only a five-minute walk away, my room looked very old wherever I looked. The online photos made it seem recently renovated, so I expected something different. I left disappointed and won't be back.

The beach is just a five-minute walk away, and the hotel has a pool, gym and play area with a PlayStation, foosball and pool table. The chef was helpful and quickly made a dish for guests with special dietary needs. The food selection was limited, though, especially for vegetarians, and the group was split between two dining rooms and never seated at the same table. Some rooms had broken air conditioning that still hadn't been fixed after our four-day stay. There are no single rooms, and I'd recommend having at least two-thirds of the rooms set up that way. The hotel has potential, but it isn't suited to large groups. It should be four stars, in my view, but I'd take one away. The location is good and the staff were polite, particularly the bartenders and waiters. The manager, or whoever was in charge, and the person at the food counter weren't as polite. I suspect they're also the people who don't respond to any reviews, good or bad. We came for a weekend with at least 50 like-minded friends. People called us rude, but they don't know the whole story behind our bad mood, so they should get a life instead of talking nonsense. Unexpected things happen, and anyone can run out of patience. If you want peace and quiet, rent a private apartment. Cesenatico feels like a second home to me, but there are other hotels here that deserve your business more. I don't recommend this one.
