We had a great stay and this was our favorite of the twelve hotels we visited last summer. The hotel feels grand, and the staff were friendly everywhere, from the lobby and pool to the beach. They made sure guests had what they needed, bringing food and drinks to the pool and even stopping by on the beach. There aren't many foreign tourists in Cesenatico, mostly Italians, which we liked. The hotel is at the end of the walking strip, with shops and restaurants nearby. A 10-minute walk takes you to the lovely old centre, with its canal, restaurants and classic fishing boats. If you like fish, there are lots of places to eat. If you don't, finding somewhere can be a bit of a challenge, though not impossible. We enjoyed every bit of our stay and highly recommend it.

Elena was lovely and seemed determined to make sure all our needs were met. She also gave us several tips for enjoying the area. Earlier, Stephen had waited up for our very late arrival, greeted us by name and made us feel welcome straight away. Breakfast may have been the most elaborate and satisfying we've ever had, from the omelette chef to the bakery-style selection of treats. Our room was standard but very clean, and the hotel was pristine. A great staff can make up for other shortcomings, and this stay really proved that. We can't wait to come back for longer.

2/10
We booked two rooms, then realized an hour later that we had chosen the wrong place. The hotel wouldn't agree to cancel for free, even though only an hour had passed and we hadn't caused any harm. There were still rooms available, so we hadn't prevented anyone else from booking during that time. It's sad when a business feels it needs to make money this way. Their business practices don't seem very service oriented.

The indoor pool and SPA facilities were very nice. The location is wonderful, the service is great and the staff are superb. It fully lives up to its 5* rating.

The decor is stunning, and the staff were friendly and professional throughout. Every meal felt like fine dining. I've stayed at many 5-star hotels, and this is genuinely one of the best. I was honestly surprised to see some negative reviews. I'll be back next year with my whole family. If you enjoy elegance, quality service and a touch of luxury, this place is perfect for you.
