The neighbourhood is quiet and welcoming, and the atmosphere at Hotel Zen is great for families. The staff are extremely kind, and the food is delicious. This is our first visit, but we're very satisfied and plan to come back.

The reception staff speak only Italian. The rooms and bathrooms are so cramped that even as a thin person who's 165cm, showering was difficult. I can't imagine how anyone taller or bigger manages. And the food was horrible, a shame for Italian cuisine. We had pasta with canned green peas for dinner and a banana for dessert. The self-service coffee machine was unplugged, so no one could use it. You could buy coffee at the bar, but when I asked for latte, all I could get was cappuccino, and it didn't remotely resemble one. I could go on, but it feels pointless. Stay away from this place.

The rooms aren't very big, but it's good enough for a long weekend. Breakfast was good, though some fresh fruit would've been welcome. On Friday there's a market beside the hotel, so remember to move your car if you don't want to pay a penalty.

The hygiene was below standard. Our room wasn't cleaned on day 1, and on day 2 the maid left the window open all day. It was January, and when we got back at 10PM, the room was freezing. Breakfast was stale and the coffee awful. I would NEVER recommend this place.
