Il Battello

We had a great autumn getaway. Elisabetta and Ben were kind, thoughtful hosts, and we stayed in the suite, a well-equipped private room with a very comfortable bed and a lovely ensuite. Breakfast was a wonderful spread, with great coffee. Shops and restaurants are close by, and with the water so near, it must be a great summer option too.

The owners are very welcoming, and breakfast is fresh and plentiful. The B&B is cozy, spotlessly clean, and close to Cesenatico’s main attractions. A top place to stay!

The Battana room was a real find: spacious and quiet, with a balcony over Viale Mazzini, and everything felt new. We were also glad of the big, well-lit free car park just a couple of minutes away. Though the B&B Il Battello is near Teatro Comunale and Porto Canale, the spot itself is peaceful. We came for a full week in early December, our first visit, and felt so at home we were already thinking about coming back. Barbara and Gianluca made that easy. They’re warm and talented hosts, and somehow it felt like we’d known them ages. Breakfast was a lovely start, with sweet and savory choices, good coffee, and a chat. They were also full of useful ideas for seeing Cesenatico and the nearby Romagna hills. I didn’t feel we were missing anything and could happily have stayed another week. Breakfast comes with vegan milk and cakes, and there’s a little room before the breakfast area where guests can eat food they’ve brought in. The owners are so attentive and easy to talk to; we shared a few laughs and ideas, and they made us feel at home. Our room had a nautical look, and I was lucky enough to get the only one with a matching headboard. It was cozy, with a small balcony, and the large shower and artistic bathroom were lovely. There’s a fan coil unit for heat, and the key also works as the light switch.
