We arrived to find that our room had been given to someone else the night before, even though the hotel had confirmed our booking by email. Nobody contacted us beforehand. They simply waited for us to turn up and deliver the bad news. The receptionist first blamed a credit card problem, but after I asked several times, he admitted that was a lie and that they had rented the room to someone else. He made no effort to find a solution or offer another option. Just lies, and the worst service I've ever had. I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

We had a family holiday here, and the location is hard to beat, just steps from the sea. I booked B&B, though there's also a restaurant on site. The rooms were comfortable, welcoming, and clean, and the owners were very kind and available whenever we needed them. We also really appreciated being able to use the hotel's bikes to explore Cesenatico freely. There were two things that bothered me. The new cleaning staff came into my room at 8:30 in the morning, saw I was still there, and left without making it up or coming back later. Also, there's a cutoff for returning late at night, but I hadn't asked and nobody told me. On our first night, while we were still out cycling at 12:40 AM, the hotel called to ask when we'd be back. That felt excessive for a beach holiday. Would I return? Yes, though I hope these things change.

The food was a real highlight, with excellent portions and plenty of them. My room and the shared areas were always spotless too. At Hotel Prater, the staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the service was impeccable. The welcoming atmosphere and handy location, close to the sea and everything else, made for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend it if you want to relax and enjoy Cesenatico.
