San Pietro

The pool area is lovely, the beds are comfortable, and the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful even when they didn’t have some information. The hotel is very clean and sits right across from the beach, though it does feel like an older-generation property. There were a few letdowns. The hotel bikes were only available for four hours before we had to bring them back, while some lower-star hotels let you keep theirs without a time limit. We had to find a dry cleaner ourselves because the desk didn’t know where one was in town. For a four-star hotel, I expected an iron, but they didn’t have one. I heard they probably cost about 25 euro. The beds were comfortable, though anyone over 6 feet (182cm) may find their feet hanging off. Breakfast fruit was still hard and unripe for three days running. It’s a good hotel, but I wouldn’t set expectations based on the star rating. I’d stay again for the friendly staff, just with a different idea of what four stars means. Management could make things smoother by serving ripe fruit, buying a couple of irons, and adding perhaps 10 bikes so guests can use them without a time limit. Then the stay would be pleasant without those surprises.
