Le Terre Di San Leonardo

This was the priciest week of our road trip around Italy, and the view didn’t make up for it. The beds were uncomfortable, there was mold in the shower, and the inside felt dark. The extra charges for the dogs and cleaning were wildly expensive. I’m someone who tidies up, so I cleaned and paid the cleaning fee, yet we were accused of taking sheets and around ten towels and told we’d have to pay for them. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We ended up staying here after we couldn’t find anyone in Diamante to host us during the week of August 15. We were in Cetraro for work, so it meant going a bit farther from where we needed to be. The place is a beautiful, huge farmhouse above the sea, sleeping up to 11. It was spotless, fully equipped, and had a breathtaking view. A car is essential both to get there and to explore the area, so it’s a good fit for families or groups of friends traveling by car. Maria, Federica, and Anita, the owner’s daughters, were wonderful. They drove us to the beach, collected us, and even took me to the train station on the morning I left. The closest station is CAPO BONIFATI. It’s a peaceful spot surrounded by nature, away from the city bustle. I hope I can get a group of friends together for a holiday here, maybe next year for August 15. See you soon! ❤️

We had a fantastic holiday and would love to return. The accommodation was clean, with insect screens on every window, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the meals we cooked there now and then. The hosts gave us a very warm welcome and useful tips for restaurants and lovely beaches. There’s also a great playground in this quiet location. We drove to a different beach each day, and the views were wonderful.

We felt at home at Mr. Giuseppe’s magnificent property, which we came across by chance and loved straight away. He was so kind and friendly, treating us like family, and the holiday was wonderfully relaxing, with breathtaking views. He recommended a bar, restaurant, pizzeria, and butcher, and we enjoyed them all, nearly as much as the property itself. There’s an outdoor area with a gazebo, and he supplied a barbecue and firewood for a fantastic cookout. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended.
