That balcony view was lovely, and the local food they served was the highlight for me. We visited in summer, when it was very quiet. The rooms were large and cosy, and the host was really friendly.

Dinner, cooked by his wife, worked perfectly with my gluten intolerance, and breakfast did too. We really appreciated that. The room was spotless, with a balcony looking over the little medieval village. Sandro welcomed us so warmly, with a great sense of humor. He’s a hotelier with a passion you don’t come across every day. The hotel is a charming stop on the Alta Via 2 route. Don’t leave your visit too late: Sandro may be young at heart, but the years are catching up with him physically.

Sandro’s wife made us an excellent dinner with authentic, delicious food, and Mr. Sandro shared lots of tips on hiking, cable cars, and other things. My boyfriend and I spent two enchanting days with them. The room was excellent, warm and comfortable, and they treated us like we were in a 5-star hotel. We’ll be back soon. I’d tell everyone to visit Mr. Sandro at least once, you won’t regret it!
