The lady was kind, and the hotel is only five minutes from the Champorcher slopes. The room was small but adequate. I was cold during our two-night stay, and the hotel is dated and very large, so I imagine it’s hard to heat properly. The breakfast was indigestible because it was cold. On the second night I wore thermal underwear, as everyone else did, and felt fine. The bathroom was completely inadequate, with no bidet and a very old, badly worn 1980s shower. I’m sorry, but it wasn’t worth the price or the trip. Perhaps the one reassuring thing is that only three bathrooms don’t have bidets, so the others may be newer.

The location is very convenient for excursions, and the staff were courteous and kind. But there are a lot of things that need fixing. Inside, the hotel feels stuck in the 1980s and needs a thorough renovation. Our room, 308, was spacious, but the attached bathroom was embarrassing: a low plastic structure like something from a camper. Dinner wasn’t worth recommending, as the pasta was overcooked. The room was noisy too, and we could hardly sleep because the toilet kept leaking.
