The upper-floor suite was beautifully designed, with clean lines and natural materials such as wood, iron, and glass. Its white palette and dark concrete floor stood out against the old rural surroundings. We happened to be there on a snowy day, and seeing the village and valley turn white made for a quiet, almost magical atmosphere. There was no kitchen for cooking, which was limiting for us, though breakfast was very tasty and they were flexible about changes or additions to suit our needs. We had booked three nights in mid December in the suite with the indoor mini pool. The historic building and the pool area, in what used to be a wine cellar, were made with natural materials. The suite interior was modern, minimalist, warm, and romantic. We're very sensitive to noise, though, and the mini pool system and ventilation bothered us. The owner was exceptionally attentive, responsive, and kind, and immediately offered to move us to the second available suite. One small tip for future guests: the bedroom floor in the mini pool suite can feel quite cold, so bring slippers. This is a unique and memorable place, with excellent hospitality and a very thoughtful host.
