Alessandro at reception was especially welcoming and helpful, and the breakfast staff were friendly and attentive too. The room was spacious and clean, and I loved spending time on the terrace with its mountain views. The trouble was that the terrace faced a busy road, and traffic noise went on all day and night. We’d been told the street wouldn’t be disruptive, but it was, and it took away from the peaceful stay we wanted. We were also disappointed by the response when we asked for body lotion, which seems like a standard amenity for a four-star hotel. The daytime receptionist told us to buy some at a supermarket. We expected a more helpful response to such a simple request from a hotel in this category. The staff were kind and professional, and the setting was beautiful, but some service details didn’t meet the four-star standard.

Saint Vincent is a small village, so there isn’t a lot to do, and the hotel only serves breakfast. You’ll need to arrange food for the rest of the day elsewhere. Breakfast itself was fresh and pleasant, though the choice was limited. We stayed at Relais du Foyer for a ski trip to Cervinia. The drive to the lift took 30 minutes, which was manageable with our car, but may not suit anyone wanting to ski right nearby. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, a relaxing place after a long day, and good value for the quality. A solid option if you’re happy to plan your meals and transport.

Waking up to the incredible view and having coffee on the balcony was a real treat. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel and location were great for a quiet break. It felt like a four-star stay, though I wasn’t as impressed with the beds. They didn’t quite feel up to that standard.

We stopped for one night while passing through, and the room worked perfectly for two. It had a balcony and everything we wanted except slippers. Water costs extra. The breakfast was fantastic, with really good quality food. I’d recommend the bacon, local ham, and salami, and the ham croissant was delicious. The coffee machine was good too. We paid 88 Euro for the room with breakfast, which felt well worth it. There were just the two of us in the restaurant, and the receptionist was very friendly. The decor is old-fashioned but nice.
