Hotel Quisisana

The staff were courteous and helpful, and the meals were excellent, though the portions weren’t enough. I stayed for a conference. It’s a modest hotel, as it seems, and my room was clean but shabby, with patches on the walls and a shower head that didn’t work quite right, among other small issues.

On a scale of one to ten, I’d give it a zero. My husband and I stayed on the night of June 2, 2017, with breakfast included. The room was awful: peeling walls, a bathroom mirror that was half broken, and no air conditioning. At breakfast the thermoses were empty, and people kept having to ask the waiter for coffee and milk. Absolutely disgusting!

This was completely unprofessional. I booked months ahead using Smartbox, based on the availability they showed. Two days before we were due to leave, they suggested moving us to another hotel, obviously a worse one, without even explaining why they were cancelling our booking. Smartbox guests don’t seem to get the same treatment as everyone else. I’m sorry to say it, but this was truly unprofessional.

The location is the main plus: it’s near the Acqua Santa "Terme Sensoriali" thermal park. The staff were helpful and friendly, and breakfast was decent. I stayed three nights in August 2014, but the room was disappointing. The bathroom was barely acceptable, and the shower stall was close to falling apart.
