Dimora di Dante

Our daily highlight was breakfast, with plenty of homemade and locally sourced choices. The host Natasja is at the heart of this place. She and her family created it with so much love, gave us the warmest welcome, and took care of everything. Natasja was always there to help, share travel tips, arrange reservations, and make our stay comfortable. Dimora di Dante is a hidden gem in rural southeast Sicily, easy to reach from the Catania airport and well placed for beautiful beaches, old baroque cities, and historic archaeological sites. The spacious 19th-century grange has carefully renovated, tastefully arranged rooms, a saltwater pool, and a lovely courtyard and garden with cacti, olive and pomegranate trees. Thank you, dear Natasja. We hope to return one day.

The large pool is a highlight. You can swim laps there, and although it isn't heated, the water wasn't cold. Breakfast in the morning is delicious, with local products, and the owner is happy to suggest restaurants and places to visit. The rooms are large, comfortable, clean, and checked every day. There's a private terrace where you can relax in the evening. No TVs in the rooms, but the bathroom and toilet are clean. Natasja welcomes you warmly and speaks enough languages to give you a tour. The B&B is quiet and beautiful, though quite remote, so you'll need a car to explore. On arrival you might wonder if you've come to the right place, but once inside it's incredibly relaxing. A small regional airport is very close, but we only heard two or three landings and it didn't bother us. It may even be handy for Belgians flying from Lille (France), as it's just five minutes away. I can't fault Dimora di Dante and highly recommend it for a holiday in this part of Sicily.

We spent two nights here for a birthday, just the three of us, and had a wonderful time. The pool kept us happily occupied for long, sunny stretches, while our son loved the trampoline and swing set. The whole place felt peaceful, and every detail seemed thoughtfully cared for. The breakfast spread was generous, luxurious even, and made mornings feel special and unhurried. Excellent coffee too. The place was spotless, charming and comfortable, and our hostess was so kind and welcoming that we felt at home. We only wished we could stay longer. Set in quiet Sicilian countryside among olive trees, this is a lovely place to stay. The pool was amazing, and I really enjoyed my time here. The owner Natasha was a breath of fresh air and went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. Her breakfasts each day were very good.
