Hotel Elisabeth

Our children say Hotel Elisabeth is the best hotel, and they love it. We were so glad to spend another holiday at our favorite place, and we’ll definitely come again. Dear Elisabeth and Sara, thank you for all your kindness and wonderful service. Big regards from the Krpeta family from Croatia.

Hotel Elisabeth worked well for us on both price and location. We wanted to visit Tri Cime and Seceda, and it sits between them, with each about an hour’s drive away. We’d definitely stay again if we return to this part of the world, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and family. The owner was kind and patient with us, even though she spoke only a little English. Her daughter spoke English, though she wasn’t always around, so things were a little bumpy at times. With some help from technology, we worked it all out. As Americans, it was our first visit to a country where English isn’t the primary language. The hotel is older, but charming and clean. It’s a 3 star hotel, which in Italy means fewer amenities, not lower service quality. One thing that surprised me was the cash deposit by bank transfer to reserve the room. I’d never done that before, and my bank questioned the request too. I researched it, found it was a normal procedure in that part of the world, and went ahead without any issues. There’s no A/C, something North American visitors may want to know. We knew in advance, but if you like to keep a room at a crisp 67 F, summer might feel a little uncomfortable. It’s normal for the mountain area, where summers stay fairly cool. We were there in the beginning of August. It did get a bit hot and stuffy in the afternoon, but leaving the door open helped, and the room cooled off nicely in the evenings. We booked breakfast but not dinner. Breakfast was simple, fresh and satisfying. And again, the owner was very kind.

There’s a lift, sauna, jacuzzi, bar and ski room, and I’d really recommend staying here. The hotel is clean and comfortable, with delicious, generous meals and kind, helpful people providing very good service.

The owners were friendly, the rooms were clean and the surroundings were quiet. The city is beautiful.
