Villa Les Rêves

A lovely setting.

I really liked the charming setting, especially the outdoor area, and I'm sorry the lunch didn't live up to it. I was there for a birthday lunch last Sunday. The buffet approach felt out of place in such an elegant venue, and although there was a wide choice, the dishes were only just adequate. The waiters were young and friendly, but didn't seem trained to work with the public or offer even minimally professional service.

The two buffet rooms stayed stocked, with trays kept full, and the few people serving were polite. So the reviews saying you have to rush for food didn't match my visit at all. I also saw the claim that it was mostly little pizzas and basic dishes. Out of 50 trays, just ONE had small pizzas, which seem like a nice option for kids or in place of bread. I bought a dinner for two through Groupon for €39, and found the place beautiful and elegant. There was plenty of good-quality food, with over 50 options from starters through mains and desserts, so the buffet was a great deal for the price. The pasta was kept warm in special containers, and the tiramisu was mouth-watering. The staff were very kind and helpful. I recommend it and will definitely go back.

It’s a very charming old farmhouse or country house that’s been renovated. The restaurant’s generous buffet draws on classic Piedmontese cooking, though the quality perhaps isn’t exceptional. There’s a spa too, but we can’t say what it’s like since we’ve never used it.
