For a week by the sea, the apartment has everything you need and feels welcoming and well cared for. The staff gave us a warm welcome and were very helpful. Its position between Chioggia and Sottomarina is another reason I’d recommend it.

We were three, staying in apartment N5 at Palazzo Giacchina at the end of August 2025. After the building’s full but tasteful renovation a few years earlier, the apartment felt genuinely welcoming. Michele and Mrs. Lorella were warm from the booking onward and helped whenever we needed information or assistance during the holiday. The location made it easy to leave the car parked and have almost everything within reach: the beaches are a short walk away (I recommend the Bagni Astoria), as are historic Chioggia, churches, museums, the fish market, places to eat, supermarkets, bars, shops with various services, pharmacies, historic and tourist walks, and ferry terminals for different destinations. There’s paid and free parking too, though it’s limited with so many tourists. The price seemed reasonable given how convenient it was to get around and save on using the car for the whole stay. There was also everything needed to cook at home, which helped keep restaurant costs down. I’d still treat yourself to lunch at a trattoria for the fresh catch of the day and traditional dishes. We’d come back, even in another season. Cristian Capelli and family

Lorella welcomed us with real kindness and was very helpful. The apartment was comfortable, clean and had all the amenities, with the seafront and Chioggia center close by. Highly recommended.

A pleasant stay in a recently renovated apartment, newly furnished and kept in good shape. Every room had a TV, heating and air conditioning, and there was Wi-Fi and plenty of outlets, which is always handy. There are free parking spots under the building, though they’re nearly always taken.

The apartment and the location were good: the rooms were fine, and you’re close to Chioggia’s old town, the beach, shops and pubs. But the experience with the owner was upsetting. She was blunt and said, “These are my apartments, and you have to adapt.” I’d paid a fortune, and I didn’t think we were being loud. We reminded the children to be quiet, but they were 2-3 years old. There were several more emails telling us to keep quiet, as if we could bind and gag them. The owner didn’t speak much English and wouldn’t listen when we explained the curfew no longer applied. They should say in the listing that children under 10 aren’t allowed. The trouble began before we even travelled. We’d paid for the apartment before the pandemic and tried through booking.com to agree on a refund or move the booking to the next year. The reply was: “We can give you a discount on your next vacation; this date is unavoidable.” The offer couldn’t be refunded, so in those difficult times we decided to go. There were four adults and three children in two rooms. At 9 a.m., the owner of the whole building was shocked that it was noisy and pointed to the rule about being quiet. Parking nearby is free, but the spaces are taken 98% of the time, so you have to hunt for one. Once you find a spot, it’s best not to move the car for the rest of your trip. The church bell ALWAYS rings at 7 a.m., probably every hour through the day, and stops at 9 p.m. The owner isn’t bothered by it anymore. A vacuum cleaner would help with all the beach sand that gets carried around the apartment, and a washing machine in the building would be useful, even if it cost extra.
