The staff were super friendly, and although some didn’t speak English very well, we had almost no trouble communicating. The food was great, and the hotel is quite close to the nearby ski area. There are some downsides: no ski room, and the already small rooms don’t have enough power outlets, so I’d bring an extension cord. I’d still recommend it if you want somewhere smaller than nearby Canin and are okay with a few compromises. I’ve stayed at Canin a couple of times too. It’s better, but it’s also bigger and busier.

The setting among the mountains gives you unique views of the surrounding nature. The rooms are simply equipped, but very clean and quiet, at least at the back. The staff were kind and attentive, and the kitchen served typical local dishes.

The people at the refuge were very kind. They have battery chargers for pedelec bikes, tire pumps, and their own e-bikes for rent.
